Ironman Pro Race Cap's

A lightweight Ironman branded cap with shaped visor that provides protection from the sun while training, or on race day. The Ironman Venti Race Cap includes mesh sides for ventilation and an interwoven absorbent sweatband to keep moisture out of your eyes. Machine washable.

Taming Tenby says: I bought two of these (1 White, 1 Black) as I already own a vented one and know what a great tool these are for stopping the sweat and sun from getting in your eyes on long runs. The white cap comes with an adjustable clip style lock at the back while the Black one has an elastic locking system. Time will tell whether the later will hold up after going through the washing machine half a dozen times but it is the better looking cap with the M-dot embroided on each side. 2XU Men's Compression Tri Shorts

Tri shorts that provide essential power and durability, as well helping increase blood flow to reduce the build-up of lactic acid.

These shorts utilise 70D/CK compression technology. This powerful fabric includes 70D Lycra to improve its strength and help increase endurance and reduce fatigue through muscle compression. High filament, moisture wicking nylon yarns also help keep the body dry during the transition from T1.

2XU ICE X fabric lowers body temperature by up to 5 degrees F. Through the use of Xylitol and IR blocking, heat is drawn away from the body as well as blocking infrared rays, resulting in a cooling of the body temperature. Adding ICE X to polyester or elastane enhances moisture management and the higher gauge knit create a lighter, more breathable fabric.

The Elite LD Chamois is a multi-layered, fusion welded chamois that features revolutionary perforation technology to supply essential ventilation. It also includes equally impressive drying capabilities for improved comfort in the saddle.

Taming Tenby Says: Although these retail at £75 I was lucky enough to pick them up in the Expo at The Long Course weekend, Tenby. They cost me just £20 and for that price an absolute bargain. Not ideal for the longer distances as the chamois did cause slight chaffing during a Half Marathon, excellent for Sprint to Olympic distance. Available here at Millet Sports

Taming Tenby says: Bought with Vouchers I received for my Birthday these shorts are really comfortable and look dead sharp. The saddle I used is not the most comfortable but while wearing these it caused me no problems.......... what more can you ask for? Better even than my more expensive PBK shorts.

Recomend that you try on before you buy as the sizing is slightly on the Small side.

Taming Tenby Says: Never used when out and about I must admit that it normally gets left at home in preference for a CO2 pump. Used when practising changing tyres at home it does inflate the tyre rapidly, however to get 110-120 psi you would need arms like Garth. Ideal pump to get you home/finish a race if you are not a fan of CO2

Taming Tenby Says: The suit is not as buoyant as I would have liked and maybe better suited to better swimmers. The catch panels on the arms made no noticeable difference and the zip design is poor. So much so it came open during my first swim. Purchased from Chain Reaction Cycles they provided me a refund on return.
